Syntheses

Produce research syntheses on key policy-relevant questions and identify how consortia projects can fill knowledge gaps on climate change and health linkages

This work will enhance the collaboration across the Belmont Forum climate, environment and health projects and associated H2020 projects and provide support for optimizing the research outputs of these projects and their inputs into EU policymaking processes.

The aim is to synthesize the research findings of the Belmont Forum climate, environment and health projects and other relevant EU funded projects together with other evidence on environmental and occupational heat stress, air pollution (including wildfires) and climate-sensitive infectious disease.

We will:

  • identify and generate synergies between Belmont Forum climate, environment and health projects and other relevant EU funded projects;

  • produce research syntheses of scientific findings from the Belmont Forum climate, environment and health projects and other relevant EU funded projects;

  • make a report reviewing current knowledge within the fields covered by Belmont Forum climate, environment and health projects and other relevant Belmont Forum projects, summarizing actionable interventions and identifying knowledge gaps;

  • provide evidence on differential vulnerability to climate change impacts and variation in effectiveness of adaptation interventions, by socio-economic status, gender, settings and other factors when possible;

  • produce a technical report of key climate adaptation strategies, including cost, equity and social implications.
